When is Prime Big Deals Day and what's on offer?

Amazon's Prime Big Deals Day will run for two days (October 7 to 8) and will see hundreds of thousands of products slashed in price for Prime Members.

But there are plenty of gadgets being offered at a discount right now, including Kindle, Blink, Echo, and Fire TV.

Many products have a discount of 40 to 50 percent off - and some products are even upwards of this. The biggest discount currently on offer is 74 percent (£88.49) off the Blink 4+ outdoor doorbell, slashed from £119.98 to £31.49.

Another top bargain is 39 percent off the Kindle Scribe, usually priced at £329.99 but now just £199.99.

Amazon has several sale periods throughout the year, but the most notable events are Prime Day in July and Black Friday/ Cyber Monday in November and December.

Prime Day and Prime Big Deals Day are reserved for Prime customers, while Black Friday sales tend to be inclusive of everyone.

If you're organised and thinking of the winter period ahead, you might even snag a steal as an early Christmas present for a loved one, or, you might just want to treat yourself as the new season rolls in.

After all, autumn and winter are the cosy seasons of the year, and what better time is there than now to invest in gadgets to make snuggling up at home that bit more comfortable?

Below, we've rounded up some of our top picks.
