The 2026 World Cup is underway, and with England taking on Norway tomorrow (Saturday, July 11), there's every chance football really could be coming home.
But there's one player who has captured the nation's heart, and he's not wearing Three Lions on his shirt.
Ahead of the quarter final, all eyes are on Norwegian centre forward Erling Haaland, who has swiftly become one of this tournament's biggest stars.
Of the 12 goals Norway have scored so far, seven have come from Haaland.

But while his performance on the pitch has been impressive, it's his unfiltered social media presence that's really won over the internet.

Hours after beating Ivory Coast 2-1 at Dallas Stadium in North Texas, the 25-year-old headed into town for a spot of shopping.
He shared a YouTube video of himself rocking cowboy boots and a hat, complete with a Southern accent to match.
According to the BBC, the video racked up more than six million views in just five days.

But it's not just his sense of humour that's earned him new fans, his ponytail has become a talking point in its own right.
In case you missed it, the internet is obsessed with the Norwegian's signature blonde locks, which he pulls into a slick ponytail on the pitch.
It's since taken over our TikTok feeds and GQ has lovingly dubbed it the Erling Knot - and now you can even buy his exact hair ties.
Where does Erling Haaland buy his hair bobbles?
Haaland is such a fan of the brand he wears, that he's even become a minority owner of the company.
The famous bobbles you can see on the pitch are from Norwegian brand KKNEKKI, which is available to shop here.
You can purchase individual hair ties for £2.90 here or a four-pack bundle for £11.60 here.

Designed for fine or fragile hair, the ties are made from a woven polyester-rubber blend that won't snag or pull.
The best part? Each hair tie is waterproof and fade resistant - perfect for workouts and sports.
There are over 700 colour options available online and even a World Cup themed bobble up for grabs for a limited time only.
