It's the question we all want to know the answer to - what's the best and freshest item you can get on the menu at Wetherspoons?

We all know the deal when you make the trip to your local Wetherspoons; the British staple is known for its cheap drinks and affordable yet filling food, with a wide selection available on their menu.

However, it has been revealed in the past by former employees that food is often cooked from frozen, or put in the microwave.

But what if you want something freshly cooked, just for you?

Luckily, a content creator who also happens to work at Spoons has come to the rescue, revealing what meal you should get, if you're looking to steer clear of pre-made goods.

Macey Newberry boasts a following of over 43,000 followers on TikTok, and revealed exactly what we should be ordering to get the freshest experience.

The foodie began her video saying: "If you're looking to spice up your relationship and take your bird out somewhere nice and classy, get her down to local pub and treat her."

A bold statement, but it turns out that for just £12, you can enjoy one of the pricier but nicest items on the menu.

"Everyone hates on a Spoons steak dinner, but personally I love it," she admitted, before adding that she gets the gourmet steak, with sides of chips, peas, vegetables, and peppercorn sauce.

She did admit: "I probably shouldn't be telling you this because it is a bit of insider information from working in Spoons.

Apparently, it is 'the freshest meal Wetherspoons make', if Newberry is to be believed.

Paying £12 may seem steep for a Spoons, but as the social media influencer pointed out: "Where else can you get a steak dinner for cheaper than 12 quid?Nowhere."

The steak is cooked to order, while the chips are also fried to order, it's just the vegetables and sauce that are microwaved, making it 'the freshest meal you can get from Wetherspoons'.

She concluded: "You just can't go wrong with a steak meal, you know what you're getting, you know you're going to enjoy it - so get it."

Users took to the comments to share what they thought, as one user posted: "Spoons steaks are really hit and miss... I've had some awful ones, but some pretty decent ones as well. But for £10/15, you can't really grumble."

Another revealed: "Next date night me and my bird will treat ourselves for a nice steak"

A third commented 'I love the chips from Wetherspoons', to which Newberry replied: "They are McCains!"

The more you know - maybe Spoons steaks are the way to go.
