Who’d of thought that travelling aboard a Singapore Airlines flight would cause so much controversy?

Well, that’s what happened when a man shared his first-class trip with the world renowned airline online.

When TikTok user @pitor.official posted his experience flying first class with Singapore Airlines on June 6, little did he know how much attention it would get.

The man, who has been detailing his travel and holiday destinations for some time, decided to post a long video which broke down his entire journey.

In the clip, which garnered over 45 million views and thousands of comments, you can see him arriving at the entrance of the giant craft.

Immediately, he was greeted by a lovely flight attendant who showed him to his seat.

Now, a seat would be putting it mildly as it’s essentially an independent cubicle space for him to enjoy.

It was fitted with a recliner seat, a personal TV, a desk, a vanity section and lots of legroom.

The classy space left viewers in awe, with many just not getting their heads over the fact that he could lounge and sip a glass of champagne during his flight. He ain't in economy no more!

Not only was the seat something that many people have never had the pleasure to experience, but the food is also something else.

The vlogger showed the expansive menu and food options and it’s so much more than you and I are used to on our cheap flights.

Pitor ultimately chose to eat the chicken skewers on a bed of lettuce, which was set up with a white tablecloth like some fancy restaurant.

Once he was finished with his meal, an attendant came over to make his bed, which was achieved by unfolding a padded area and laying down a sheet and pillow.

He was then able to shimmy into his jammies and watch TV in bed. Oh, to be rich.

He captioned his video: “Experiencing luxury at 30,000 feet! First-class on @SingaporeAir’s A380 is a dream come true.”

His video racked up immense envy, with many people wishing they could be in his shoes (or Singapore Airlines-branded slippers).

One person wrote: “I feel the same way when I get the window seat on the ‘Exit Row’ on SPIRIT," as another commented: “To have a bed on a plane would be the dream... literally.”

Someone else typed: “I would stay awake all night just to make sure I did fair to all my pennies.”

One person had experienced the same VIP treatment though, and commented: “I’ve flown Singapore Airlines many times. Worth every penny.”

However, some viewers were quick to call him out and his lifestyle, which sparked a debate.

One person said: “I never understand the concept of paying thousands of pounds.. to sleep.. close my eyes and wake up without feeling the journey. All that for 10k ?”

And another wrote: “Looks great, but if plane goes down also those from this super luxury go too right or??”

Someone replied to the above commenter, writing: “Guess he will go down with a glass of champagne instead of a can of coke.”

But let's face it, everyone would do it if they could afford to.
