A flight attendant has revealed the extra amount of money she earned for a single layover in the US.
Amanda King has taken to her YouTube channel to upload a breakdown of her earnings while working as part of the cabin crew for Emirates.
The content creator posted a video last November titled 'Emirates salary secrets', sharing some unverified figures from her time working on board.

She pulled up some number from the Emirates career page, which suggested that the starting salary for a flight attendant is approximately AED 4,835 per month (£989.71), without layover time.
However, Amanda said to 'keep in mind, this is proven to go up every financial year'.
"It also shows something called your flying pay," she added. "This is an extra hourly rate that Emirates pays you on top of your base salary.

"It also states the average wage that you'll earn every month at Emirates, which is currently at AED 10,802 (£2,211.15) a month."

The Aussie then shared how much she was able to make during just one layover in the US.
"Now, one of the biggest meal allowances I've ever received in my entire life was actually for my layover in Miami, Florida," she said.
During layovers, crew members receive meal allowances, which contribute to the overall monthly earnings.
This meant that Amanda received an extra AED 3,197 (£654.42) on top of her AED 4,835 (£989.71) per month salary.

"And even though our allowances in the US are quite high, that wasn't the main reason, the reason I got paid so heavily is because it was a 52 hour layover," Amanda explained.
"Pretty much the longer we are in the destination, the more meals that fall into our time away, which means we're paid for more meal allowances.
"So for my Miami layover, I got AED 1,208, and this is not even with flying pay, which is something I want to add on here, because the flight to Miami is about 15 hours there and 15 hours back. That's a total of 30 flying hours.
"So if you timed that by 30 hours, you're looking at AED 1,989. So with those two numbers added together, you're almost doubling your base wage.
"I think it's kind of crazy that you could have all these people in the same position, but getting such different pays."
