A cheap and cheerful holiday can be just as good as a posh and fancy one - as long as you pick the right destination (obviously).

Brits are able to fly to one of the most recognisable tourist destinations in the Mediterranean for as little as £26, which is cheaper than a train ticket to London.

You might think I'm chatting s**t, yet I kid you not that the cheap travel destination - dubbed the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ - is only two hours and 45 minutes away from Gatwick.

The gorgeous scenic spot is located in Croatia and the city itself has been awarded for its outstanding medieval architecture and old town.

And since Game of Thrones hit our screens over a decade ago, fans of the series have flocked to Croatia to see visit some of its most iconic filming locations.

One of those high on their list of must-see places is the romantic coastal city of Dubrovnik.

From taking in the breathtaking views, to soaking up the history... and even chanting 'Sweet Caroline' in the middle of a heaving nightclub, Dubrovnik could be the place for you.

EasyJet are providing cheap flights from London Gatwick for just £25.99 and those prices are for April, September, October and November.

According to booking.com, a four star apartment for three adults costs around £55 a night - and if you're splitting between three of you, that's not too bad.

However, if you've already done Dubrovnik and you fancy a more boozy vibe, Croatia's new hotspot Pag Island is perhaps a bit more up your street.

You can get offers on bevs for as little as £1.11 a pop - not bad considering the cost of living we're currently plagued by.

Offering the best of both worlds, people can party hard all night and then sleep off their hangovers all day on the huge selection of beautiful scenic beaches.

For those wanting to get their groove on in their swimsuit under the scorching sun with a cheap as chips drink in their hand - then look no further than the island’s Zrce Beach in Novalka, which boasts a whole load of beach clubs.

Just two hours away and a little under £30 each way - it's a wonder why more Brits haven't given it a try.

I mean, one quid pints and scorching temperatures, what could possibly go wrong?

(Always drink responsibly).
