The Northern Lights are on everyone’s bucket list and one of the best places in the world to see them is Reykjavik.

Every year, thousands of visitors flock to Iceland’s capital to see the colourful spectacle and Brits say they’ve found one of the best deals out there right now.

The limited time offer is giving travellers the chance to spend two nights at a four-star hotel in the capital with a famous Northern Lights tour included.

The tour alone has received hundreds of rave reviews online. One traveller wrote: “It was a powerful, meaningful, philosophical, scientific, spiritual, and unique experience. It was so powerful that I could not contain my tears, I couldn’t even feel it was -19C. I just felt peace, excitement, reconciliation.”

Another five-star review reads: “Best night of my life. It was the most amazing experience. As soon as we got off the bus, Aurora appeared as a huge rainbow arch in the sky. The last hour of the tour she started dancing and that’s when we got an amazing show of all the colours. Even our tour guide was amazed and fascinated by what we saw.”

A third simply wrote: “WOW! absolutely amazing! We were lucky enough to get to see the lights and it was absolutely breathtaking! The Northern Lights are a must to anyone travelling to Iceland!”

When is the best time of year to see the Northern Lights?

You’re in luck as the best time of year to see the Northern Lights (aurora borealis) is from late September to late March. According to reviews, a number of travellers saw the Northern Lights when visiting in November and December.
