Rare deal means Brits can fly to the Caribbean this summer from just £215

Rare deal means Brits can fly to the Caribbean this summer from just £215

You'll have to move quick to secure this deal

If you're like a lot of us and the cold weather has got on your last nerve, then don't worry because this might be the opportunity for you to get the hell out of here and into some sunshine.

Granted, you may have to be a fan of spontaneity to take advantage of it, but it may sound particularly enticing, and hopefully the flight won't go as badly as this Ryanair one:

It may feel like summer is ages away, but all it takes is a short trip overseas and it could be summer tomorrow.

I think I speak for us all when I say that we all need a holiday, and this deal could be one of the best going right now.

For just £215, you could be at a dream holiday destination with temperature highs of 29 degrees and lows of 23 degrees. 23!

It makes it the ideal winter escape, though it does already boast 3,000 hours of sunshine all-year round.

The flight deal involves flights in and out of Manchester - but what is this destination, I hear you asking?

It could be time for some winter sun.

For just £215 or a £399 return, you could fly from Manchester to Barbados, including taxes and charges.

Yes, the Barbados with beautiful, white sandy beaches and luscious botanical gardens.

The deal is with Irish airline Aer Lingus, and you'll have to act quick as it's only active until 4 March for trips up to 31 May.

These bargains are available as Aer Lingus extended the availability of its flights to the Caribbean nation from Manchester, after originally planning to end the route in March.

Flights commence every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, with available A330s allowing business class passengers to enjoy flat-bed seats.

Travel experts also recommend that holiday-goers visit the island in its dry season, which is from December to April, with blue skies a sealed deal.

On top of the gorgeous beaches and clear waters, there are several tourist attractions, such as the Mount Gay rum distillery for those of you that like a drink, or the Andromeda botanical gardens and Harrison's Cave eco adventure park for those that like a bit of sight-seeing and experiences.

With weather not too hot right now, it is thought to be the best time to visit, as June to October presents more risky weather conditions with hurricane season set to take place.

On average, a night for two on the Caribbean island can be booked for just £52, making a five-night stay and return flight costing about £660.

If that doesn't take your fancy, Aer Lingus also offers direct flights to New York and Orlando in the US from Manchester among other hot holiday destinations.
