The whole world has been mourning the death of Star Wars legend Carrie Fisher after she passed away earlier in the week.
There have been a host of famous names paying fitting tribute to the Princess Leia actress, who died after suffering a heart failure.
However, Steve Martin's attempt at making a homage to Carrie has annoyed a lot of people and has been causing a fierce debate.
The US comedian has been forced to delete a tweet after being accused of making a sexist comment following Carrie's death.

"When I was a young man, Carrie Fisher was the most beautiful creature I had ever seen. She turned out to be witty and bright as well," Martin wrote.

The social media world has since been hammering Martin for his tweet, which seemed to put physical appearance before personality.

However, others have also said that there was nothing wrong with Martin's tweet.
Some people think that it is not right he has been hounded into deleting the tweet and the debate is continuing.
