Tattoos have been around for 5200 years and yet they're still seen as a bit of a taboo.
While attitudes towards tattoos have changed, there are still some places you can get inked that will cause people to look, stare and judge.
Just ask Sean Green from Dundee. He caught up with the BBC about how his face tattoo has completely changed his life.

Personally, it amazes me that people can't just accept that others might like face tattoos and that they're passionate about it...
I'm not saying I want a face/neck tattoo but if this guy does, that's no reason to judge. It seems strange to me we still have these attitudes in the 21st century.
And then I look across the pond at Donald Trump and I remember there's still a long way to go for humanity.
