A surprise visit to some Dubai municipal offices to see how some senior officials from the UAE's civil service were getting turned sour after he walked into an empty workplace.
Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai, skipping entirely over a stern telling-off, decided to fire everyone.

A video on Twitter shows the prince visiting the offices on Sunday. He flips through a book as he waits for the audience, but they fail to arrive.
The next day, he would go on to sack nine senior officials. This made up the legal counsel and executive director of legal affairs, the deputy director general and six assistant directors.
"He certainly wanted to send a message," director general of the Dubai Media Office, Mona al-Marri said.
"Timeliness starts at the top and we won't go after the employees when their bosses aren't there."

The media office also said the forced retiring of the seniors were a symbolic move that would "give way to a new generation of young leaders capable of bearing responsibility for the next phase of development".
Bit harsh, if you ask me.
