Slowly but surely, Barack Obama's tenure as the president of the United States is drawing to a close.

On January 20, Donald Trump will take up his seat in The White House, succeeding his reign. Before then, though, Obama is planning to submit 98 final regulations in order to cement his legacy.

We already know that Trump and Obama are worlds apart in terms of both personality and political standpoints, so there's no doubting that the latter's decisions will likely leave the former furious.

The final regulations are said to tackle issues such as commodities speculation, education, air pollution and Obamacare, according to Politico. The Independent has reported that Republican congressional leaders have sent a 'scathing' letter to agency heads about the proposals.

"We write to caution you against finalising pending rules or regulations in the Administration's last days... should you ignore this counsel, please be aware that we will work with our colleagues to ensure that Congress scrutinises your actions - and, if appropriate, overturns them," the letter reportedly said.

The changes will probably piss off part-toupee-part-tangerine Donald Trump as he plans to repeal a number of Obama's acts, with elements of Obamacare being the main priority.

According to The Washington Post, the reason Trump will have his hair put out of place is that repealing federal regulations is a long and tedious process. Anything Obama does between now and January 20 will effectively have his successor jumping through hoops like a SeaWorld dolphin in order to reserve it.
