The Amount Of Snapchats Watched World Wide Per Day Is Ridiculous

Huge numbers.

Snapchat has pretty much taken over most peoples smart phones.

Go to a restaurant and you're guaranteed to see at least five people uploading a picture of their meal or their drink to their story.

Given those food snaps, videos of people on nights out and clips of dogs doing silly things, there are an awful lot of Snapchats to be watched out there.

The actual number of Snapchats watched world wide per day is absolutely staggering.

Bloomberg reported that ten billion videos are watched each day on the app, which Snapchat later confirmed.

There's no note on what percentage of those is lads on the toilet and nudes that are sent, but my guess is that it's pretty big.

The figures show a two billion growth from the stats that were released in February, that showed that a reportedly 8 billion videos were watched on the app everyday.

Just think of the amount of people who went to the gym with bigger intentions to take a picture in the mirror, rather than working on their fitness. There's got to be thousands.

Robert Peck, an analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey, said in a report this week: "conversations are not only including a photo or video, but are being started by them. People's behavior is changing so that photos are being used as speech instead of a repository for memories."

According to Bloomberg, Snapchat gets more than 100 million users per day, or to put that into it's proper measurement - a fuck tonne.

All those users spend an average of 25 to 30 minutes a day on the app, Snapchat Chief Executive Officer Evan Spiegel revealed in February. Presumably ten of those minutes are spent trying to get the right lighting and the perfect picture, not to mention trying to get one of the multiple filters to work properly.

I feel that there are two people who contribute immensely to these statistics.

The first is people who think it's okay to send you a snap, but then upload the same picture to their story. That is not acceptable. Don't be that person.

The second type of person are the ones who insist on uploading ten minutes worth of footage to their stories every night out. It's nothing interesting, just them filming themselves dancing in a club whilst taking a sip of their drink - just so you know that they're really cool.

Honestly, if you're not Leonardo DiCaprio, it's not worth it. No one gives a shit.
