Traffic Warden Caught Parking Illegally To Give Ticket

Traffic Warden Caught Parking Illegally To Give Ticket

Cheeky.

Ah traffic wardens. Up in there in the top five most hated professions, right? Which does seem a bit cruel when you consider that a) they're only doing their job and b) if you don't park illegally they can't give you a ticket.

That second point brings me nicely onto this:

An illegally parked moped. Tut tut. Whoever parked that better hope a traffic warden doesn't come along and give them a ticket. Except, the person who parked the moped both illegally and stupidly was a traffic warden. He'd just hopped off to hand out some parking tickets, apparently.

He was spotted breaking his own rules by Daniel Joseph right near a police station in Barking, East London.

Daniel said: "I went to the shop to get a sandwich and a newspaper during my morning tea break when I saw the warden.

"He was parked right outside the Thames ward police office on the corner of the roundabout.

"The warden was giving someone a ticket who was parked in a bay while what he was doing was far worse, he was parked on double yellows on the junction.

"It seems a bit ironic that they're parking badly while fining other people."

Daniel said that incident happened on March 11 at around 9.45am, and he has put a complaint in with the local council, but hasn't heard anything back.

"There are so many restrictions and they'll give you a ticket for anything but they do what they want," he added.

"I just wanted to make light of it because they have so many stupid rules, it's ridiculous.

"I got a ticket from a camera a while ago for being parked on single yellows in a narrow road, my car was half on the kerb but it was only so I didn't block the road.

"They're just making traps for you to fall into, the wardens are so sneaky."

A spokesperson from Barking and Dagenham Council told the Daily Star: "We are looking into this and cannot comment any further."

I think it's safe to say that whoever this fella is, he's done little to help make traffic wardens more likeable.
