Mother Spots 'Baby Ghost' In Son's Cot On Baby Monitor

Scary.

Every now and again, people are convinced they've seen a ghost. They even go as far as supplying picture 'evidence', whereby a shadow looks as if it's some sort of phantasmal spirit.

There's no quintessential evidence that ghosts exist, so it's fair to say that claiming you've seen any will result in hearty derision - however, every so often, things nearly convince non-believers.

This might be one of those occasions, as a mum has spotted what she believes is a baby ghost sleeping next to her child.

Laura Haigh and partner Dean Evans believe they saw a supernatural figure crawl into their 18-month-old son's cot on a baby monitor they set up. They even claim that the spirit 'waved' at things in young Sebastian's room, in their house in Plymouth, Devon.

42-year-old boat builder Dean dashed upstairs to check on his son, though didn't see anything next to him other than a teddy bear. However, on the baby monitor, there reportedly continued to be movement from the 'ghost'.

"When I noticed this face appear in the corner of his cot, I got my sister to look on Skype and there was nothing there at all," Laura said.

"Sometimes he brings a teddy to bed with him so at first I thought it could be that, but this just looks weird.

"Dean said straight away, 'It will be just a teddy,' and went straight upstairs. However, he was a little bit gobsmacked that there was nothing there but it was still appearing on the monitor. He was a bit spooked as he doesn't believe in that kind of thing and just can't explain it."

She continued: "He usually says 'don't be silly' about anything like this. This has opened his mind a little but he doesn't like to talk about it much. He just kept asking on the night: 'Has it gone yet?' He was a bit freaked out.

"I have checked out the camera and I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it.

"Friends think it's really creepy. Whatever it was stayed in the cot until 1.30am and disappeared when I went to feed him. But during the night it moved positions."

Despite the terrifying nature of what they believe is happening, mum Laura reckons that there's no issue as Sebastian is fine. The 18-month-old child slept soundly through the ordeal, meaning that no harm has come to him.

"He's fine. I think he can see whatever it was as he will sit in the cot and smile at nothing. Or he has stared in the corner and waved at something that isn't there," she added.

"I have not picked up anything that should make me uneasy. Sebastian slept fine all night and at one point even appeared to cuddle whatever it was. If he is not distressed by it then that's good. If it meant harm then it would upset him.

"It hasn't left me unsettled. We have had some sort of activity in the house but if there is a presence it's not a bad thing.

"We have had photos turned upside down or thrown off the wall."

I'd move if I were you, Laura.

It's good that they're getting on with it, though.
