Twenty-eight-year-old MMA fighter Julian Brave Wallace has pleaded guilty to assaulting his former fiancee after she brought him the wrong noodles.

The fighter, who competes under the alias 'Julz the Jackal', attacked Jessy Jess, who is also a MMA professional, back in April. Jess arrived home one night having picked up her fiance's tea, but when he realised it wasn't what he wanted, he grabbed her work bag, pulled a T-shirt out of it and accused her of cheating.

According to reports, Wallace then kicked Jess in the face before telling her to give him her engagement ring, threatening to break her fingers if she didn't. The victim then ran away, trying to pack her bags in the pair's Australia home.

Chasing her around the apartment, he allegedly kneed her in the ribs, hit her in the face, used MMA moves, and eventually choked her out.

Luckily, Jess' fighting background came in useful as she was able to break free and kick her soon-to-be husband, knocking him out. She was then able to phone police, who arrested the 28-year-old.

"I kept tapping him on the arm because I could feel that I was going to lose consciousness; he pulled tighter and I thought that would be the end," Jess told The Daily Telegraph.

She continued to explain that she was glad she was the one being attacked, as if it was someone else, who wasn't trained in martial arts, they could have been seriously hurt.

Wallace pleaded guilty in Newtown Local Court last week to one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of intentionally choking with recklessness.

The fighter is due to be sentenced in Newtown Local Court on December 7. Jess has now moved to America in order to pursue her MMA dream.
