TalkRADIO presenter Mike Graham has just had a nightmare of an interview that lasted less than a minute.

Graham had been speaking to Cameron Ford, a spokesman for protest group Insulate Britain, when he made the claim that you could grow concrete.

Social media has found a lot to laugh at in the interview, which has since gone viral, with particular fun being poked at the idea that you can grow concrete as a sustainable building material.

Who is Mike Graham?

Mike Graham is a journalist and commentator who presents The Independent Republic of Mike Graham, his show on TalkRADIO.

He had previously presented the show for Edinburgh-based radio station Talk 107 before moving to TalkSPORT where he worked on a number of shows including Parry and Graham, which he presented in the 10am to 1pm slot on weekdays alongside Mike Parry.

He's also worked as the editor of the Scottish Daily Mirror and the assistant editor of the Daily Express.

What does Mike Graham do?

He presents The Independent Republic of Mike Graham on TalkRADIO between 10am and 1pm on weekdays.

What did Mike Graham say?

During an interview with Ford which was supposed to be about the latest protests from Insulate Britain, the presenter learned that Ford's daily occupation was as a carpenter.

Graham questioned whether 'killing trees' to use the wood for buildings was safe for the climate, to which Ford pointed out that it's a sustainable business as you can grow more trees to replace the ones cut down for materials.

Graham asked, 'you can grow all sorts of things, can't you?', to which Ford replied, 'you can't grow concrete', prompting Graham's reply of, 'Yeah you can.'

A painfully awkward silence followed before Graham ended the interview which had lasted less than a minute.

The presenter had the last word, saying, 'That was Cameron, he grows trees and then cuts them down and then makes things from them. Brilliant, marvellous. I don't think I ever want to talk to any of those people.'

Can you grow concrete?

No.

What else has Mike Graham done?

This is not the first time Mike Graham has found himself in trouble over things he's said.

In 2017 he called Liverpool fans 'murderers' on Twitter over the Heysel disaster of 1985 where 39 people died and English clubs were banned from European football for years.

Per the Liverpool Echo, Graham later said he had 'allowed anger to cloud by judgment' and deleted the offending tweet.

Last year he tweeted that Celtic were 'the paedo's football club', with the Glasgow Times reporting that the Scottish football club sought legal advice over the incident. Graham later deleted the tweet.
