Activist claims missing teen was a 'sex slave' for his mother and slams 'sham investigation'

According to Quanell X, Rudy Farias was allegedly subjected to years of abuse from his mother, after he was reported missing back in 2015.

Quanell X, a community activist and counsellor from Houston, has come out and defended Rudy Farias, the recently found Texan man who went missing for eight years.

According to Quanell, the now 25-year-old man was allegedly subjected to years of sexual abuse from his mother, after he was reported missing to police back in 2015.

"I believe Rudy is absolutely the victim here,” said the civil rights activist in a press conference on Wednesday after Farias spoke to investigators.

“The kid was distraught ... absolutely distraught,” Quanell said while claiming that Farias confided in him about being sexually and physically abused by his mother.

While speaking to The Independent following this, Quanell X accused police of 'trying to hide from conducting a shady sham investigation'.

“It’s all confusing as hell to me now,” he told the outlet.

“I think they’re revictimising the kid all over again.

“I believe he needs extensive medical, psychological help and treatment.”

Farias was 17 years old when it was first reported that he had gone missing to police.

In a press conference held yesterday, Houston Police denied Quanell’s claims that Farias’ mother sexually abused her son.

Lieutenant Christopher Zamor confirmed that Rudy was not missing for eight years, but instead, fake names and birth dates were used by Farias and his mother, 'misleading the officers.'

“Based on Rudy’s interview, there were no reports of sexual abuse reported," he said.

Although Farias' mother made fictitious claims about her son, the DA has declined to press charges against her at this stage.

Lieutenant Zamor confirmed Farias returned home the following day after he went missing.

“We also connect Rudy to victim services to ensure that he has the method to recover,” said the Lieutenant.

“If there is a disclosure made, we will investigate it.”

LADbible has approached Houston Police for comment.
