'World's Worst Cat' Is Up For Adoption If You Want A Devilish Feline In Your Home

The shelter says 'we thought she was sick, turns out she's just a jerk'.

Adopting a pet means you'll be taking an animal out of a shelter and into your (hopefully) loving arms. Shelters are usually pretty honest when it comes to what the animal does and doesn't like as well as what their temperament is, however one organisation has been very open about one of their cats.

Mitchell County Animal Rescue posted an ad for a cat named Perdita and she doesn't sound like an easy ride.

Hilariously, the feline comes with a tagline of 'we thought she was sick, turns out she's just a jerk'. With an endorsement like that, why wouldn't you want to take her home?

The shelter added on the Facebook page: "Meet Perdita, not for the faint of heart. LIKES: staring into your soul until you feel as if you may never be cheerful again; the song 'Cat Scratch Fever', the movie Pet Cemetery (Church is her hero), jump scares (her specialty), lurking in dark corners, being queen of her domicile, fooling shelter staff into thinking she's sick (vet agrees...she's just a jerk).

"DISLIKES: the color pink, kittens (yuk they are so chipper), dogs, children, the Dixie Chicks, Disney movies, Christmas and last but NOT least...HUGS. She's single and ready to be socially awkward with a socially awkward human who understands personal space."

The shelter is offering the cat up for free, likely because they just want the demon cat out of their hands (in the nicest way possible). If you're feeling brave, you can fill out an application form to adopt Perdita here.

In good news for the Mitchell County Animal Rescue, more than $800 has been raised for the organisation after posting the advert, according to Republic World.
