Mum gets ASDA logo tattooed on her backside to use on Tinder

A former ASDA worker has revealed why she got the company's logo tattooed on her butt cheek. Check it out here:

Why does anyone do anything these days? To get more dates on Tinder, of course.

Jodie Waddell had worked in the pizza section at the supermarket chain over a year ago, but loved her time there so much that she decided to get it permanently branded on her body.

Speaking to The Sun, the 32-year-old mum said she's hoping it'll help her on the dating app by acting as an 'ice breaker'.

While she'd obviously thought about getting the ink job before, she took the plunge when she received a £90 tax refund.

And it turned out to be perfect timing.

Jodie, from Edinburgh, explained: "I can’t tell you just how excited I was when I found out the classic Asda bum tap advert was coming back.

"I loved watching that as a kid and I loved working in the shop. It was a really nice time for me.

"I don’t work there anymore but when I got a rebate I decided to just go for it and get the tattoo as a tribute. I’m the kind of person that likes to be spontaneous."

She said it's been a hit on Tinder, adding: "Every single message I get is about the tattoo. They want to know if it’s real and why I got it.

"I’m hoping it’s going to be a real conversation starter and ice-breaker."

Fingers crossed it works out for her, as Jodie said the tat took 45 minutes and was 'just agony'.

"I’ve got tattoos on my legs and arms but that felt nothing like this one," she told the outlet.

"The pain was just breathtaking. I had bruising on my bum so sitting down was a bit of a challenge for a couple of days."

That's the (Asda) price you pay, I guess.

Reaction to her inking has been just as positive over on TikTok, where the mum shared a clip of her cheeky tat with her followers.

"Hahahah OMG that’s brilliant," wrote one, while another simply said, "You legend."

The mum said it's her most-asked question on Tinder.

A third asked: "Do you get a discount if you show that?"

Jodie now works at Greggs as a counter assistant, which begs the question - will she be getting its logo on her other cheek?

"Everyone keeps asking when I’m getting a steak bake or a sausage roll on the other cheek," Jodie continued.

"I’m a single mum so I’m going to have to save up some money before I can do that."
