Seven years into his life sentence, Chris Watts has reportedly claimed that he is a 'new man' and is 'finally at peace with himself'.
The 40-year-old said he has turned over a new leaf and is 'not the person who committed those horrible acts' in handwritten letters to a female pen pal.
In 2018, Watts was put behind bars for life after being convicted of murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann, and their two daughters Celeste, 3, and Bella, 4.
The mum, 34, and her two young children were reported missing in August of that year - and Watts chillingly portrayed himself to the world as a desperately concerned dad.

He went to bold lengths to cover up the killings and even gave TV interviews begging for his family's safe return, before his web of lies was eventually exposed.
Watts later confessed to the murders, revealing he had strangled Shanann to death before smothering the two little girls.
The disgraced dad dumped Celeste and Bella's bodies at the site of an oil and gas company in Frederick, Colorado, while burying his wife's body in a shallow grave nearby.
It then emerged that Watts had been having an affair with one of his colleagues, Nichol Kessinger, who he hoped to start a new life with after the murders.

Since his depraved plan was exposed and he was locked up for life, he has reportedly been incarcerated at the maximum-security Dodge Correctional Institution in Waupun, Wisconsin.
Nearly a decade after he began residing there, Watts now believes he has been 'forgiven' for his crimes by God, according to the Daily Mail.
He has been penning handwritten letters to a female pen pal, the publication reported, which often span several pages and are littered with religious references as well as quotes from the Bible.
Watts is said to have wrote: "I am a new man. I am not the person who committed those horrible acts.
"2 Corinthians 5:17 says 'if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new'. That's me. I'm a new creature.

"I know that God does not see me as a sinner who killed his family; he sees me as His child.
"I have confessed my sins. I am forgiven. The hardest thing I have had to do was to forgive myself."

The killer also reportedly went on to say that he has forgiven himself for the horrific crimes he committed in 2018.
"God has separated me from my sin as far as the east is from the west," Watts said.

"But forgiveness of self is another matter entirely and it has taken me years to find my peace, the peace that passes all understanding.
"I am finally at peace with myself."
The most recent letter he sent to his pen pal was reportedly penned in April and it supposedly echoed previous statements made by Watts where he blames Kessinger for 'misleading' him.
He is alleged to have said: "I have always taken full responsibility for what I did, even though I was misled by a wicked woman. She was a harlot, a Jezebel who led me astray.
"Who spoke sweet words of destruction. But I will let God have his justice with her. I was weak and I let her cloud my morals and my judgement."

Kessinger - who was not implicated in the murders of Shanann, Celeste, Bella and the unborn child - previously told cops Watts had informed her during their relationship that he was going through an amicable divorce.
