Britney Spears Launches Scathing Attack On Sister Jamie Lynn

The pop star has hit back at her sister following some shocking claims made in a recent interview

Britney Spears has taken to Twitter to launch a scathing attack on her little sister, Jamie Lynn, for her 'crazy lies' following the shocking knife claims she made against the pop star.

Britney, who was freed from her 13-year conservatorship in November, took to Twitter today (14 January) to share a screenshot of a lengthy note aimed at her sister and her recent claims during an interview with ABC's Good Morning America.

"Jamie Lynn ... congrats babe! You've stooped to a whole new level of LOW ... I've never been around ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such!!!" she wrote, along with a selection of clapping and knife emojis.

"So please please stop with these crazy lies for Hollywood books!!! NOW and only NOW I do know how only a scum person would actually make up such things about someone.

"I'm actually very confused about you making that up because it's honestly not like you at all!!"

Britney ended her note with: "Congrats on introducing your older sister the concept of getting LOW ... LOWER ... LOWEST ... because, you win on that one babe!"

Earlier this week, Jamie Lynn spoke about her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said, and she described Britney’s behaviour over her lifetime as 'erratic, paranoid, and spiralling'.

In the book, the child star also claimed that there was an incident where Britney became 'scared' and took a knife and locked herself and Jamie Lynn inside a room.

"First off, I think experiencing my own panic attacks and how sometimes we can feel in those moments is important," she said.

"It’s important to remember that I was a kid in that moment. I was scared.

"That was an experience I had, but I also was fearful to like really say anything because I didn’t want to upset anybody but also was so upset that she didn’t feel safe."

In the interview, Jamie Lynn also described the moment Britney allegedly got in her face 'screaming at her'.

"She cursed at me and so I just walked out of the room, we're all family, I'm not trying to argue," she claimed.

"When I tried to remove myself from the situation, that's when I guess she got really angry and my oldest daughter tried to mediate the situation.

"I hated that. That's not what you're supposed to do, you're 12. [My parents] Told me I can't upset Britney.

"I'm like, you saw me and my children get upset, when will that matter."
