Billie Eilish has ditched her now instantly recognisable black and highlighter green dyed her hair and opted for platinum blonde.

The 19-year-old singer has switched up her trademark 'do for a brand new look, posting the transformation on Instagram with the caption 'pinch me'.

Alongside the change in colour, Billie has also had a fringe cut in and fans are loving the look.

Thousands took to the comment section, with one writing: "Aww LOVE It!"

While another said: "OH MY GOD YOU ARE SO GORGEOUS!"

A third said: "Living for this hair.

At the end of last year, Billie responded to a social media user who questioned her on her hair colour.

She wrote: "It's called not being depressed anymore pls just be happy for me.

"This is the longest I've had the same hair color since I was 13 & that's on mental stability and growth, leave me alone."

Speaking about her upcoming album release - and how she managed to record it during the pandemic - she told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show: "I don't think I would've made the same album, or even the album at all, if it weren't for Covid.

"That doesn't mean it's about Covid at all, it's just that, when things are different in your life, you're different.

"That's just how it is. So, I have to thank Covid for that, and that's about it."

There's no release date for the second album from the teen singer, however she has teased there could be up to 16 songs on it.

She told Vanity Fair that it's the perfect tracklist to follow her critically acclaimed first album When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go?

"There isn't one song, or one part of one song, that I wish was this or that I wish it was that," she said.
