Kanye West Wears Yeezy Slides To Wedding And Is Ridiculed Online

Oh, Kanye West. While many can't doubt the man's genius with music - even the critics have a hard time with it - the same can't be said about his sense in fashion, apparently.

The Daily Mail reports that the Yeezus rapper was with Kim Kardashian attending 2 Chainz's wedding at the Gianni Versace Mansion in Miami. If you look at Kanye, he looks pretty spiffy in his green Louis Vuitton suit. But as you move your eyes down his body, you'll see him sporting some Yeezy slides.

Look, that piece of footwear isn't cheap - they can cost anywhere between £150-£500 - but you'd question why any person would wear them to such a formal occasion. But hey, we're talking about Kanye here.

You know what happens next, right? While Kim and Kanye were sippin' away on their drinks, social media went into meltdown - as it does - and users wanted to know what possessed the rapper to wear the shoes.

One person said: "I'm mad that Kanye West decided to wear slides with that suit... And then slides that aren't even his size? Like, damn he looked f****** good until I saw the full photos and realised his shoes don't even fit his feet. Mad."

Another user wrote: "Maybe Kanye spilled something on the shoes he was gonna wear to 2 Chainz's wedding. And maybe these beige puffy sandals were the only other footwear lying around. Because we all know this man makes many bold fashion risks, but he knows his shoe size."

The next big question in this 'investigation' is asking if there's something wrong with West's feet. In fact, one user suggested that the rapper was wearing it as an ingrown toenail aid.

"Kanye has an ingrown toenail and the doctor advised him not to wear closed-toed shoes. @kanyewest i got you dawg dnt let mf hate on health (sic)," the user said.

As you can probably expect, it wouldn't have been right if Kanye didn't overshadow the wedding. The man loves the limelight and he's no stranger to taking his fair share of criticism.

We should be asking the question if this is simply a man who really, really loves Yeezy slides? After all, you only have to look on Kanye's Twitter to see him wearing a pair on the beach as the water washes over his feet.

But all we can really say is that we miss the old Kanye.
