Paul Scholes' daughter has shared a clip of her dad seemingly biting her toenails. You can see the clip here:

Twenty-year-old Alicia Scholes posted the video to her Instagram account yesterday captioning it 'true love'.

In the clip the former England and Manchester United star could be seen holding one of her feet to his mouth and then appeared to be giving her toenails a quick trim with his teeth.

The clip has since gone viral, being reposted across social media where it's sparked some strong opinions.

Commenting on the video, one person wrote: "Please let me have the rest of my life without seeing that Paul Scholes video again..."

Another said: "I'm envious of anyone who hasn't seen that Paul Scholes video."

While a third person added: "Whatever you do, don't check why Paul Scholes is trending right now."

Someone else posted: "Had a bad habit of biting my nails but Paul Scholes has given me a phobia."

Alicia, who has more than 70,000 followers on her Instagram, is following in her sporty dad's footsteps and is a talented basketball player.

She plays in the Vitality Netball Superleague and recently left Manchester Thunder for London Pulse - she also plays for England.

Alicia and her brother Arron, 21, landed their dad in hot water after they threw a New Year's Eve party at their Oldham home despite the area being in Tier 4 coronavirus restrictions at the time.

Neighbours were left fuming after photos shared to social media showed Alicia and her pals dressed up in fancy dress to ring in the New Year.

Tory MP Andrew Bridgen blasted Scholes at the time, saying: "You'd expect a much more responsible attitude from a role model who has worn an England shirt 66 times.

"The people of Oldham are fully aware reckless behaviour like this has caused the return to lockdown

"While young people are less likely to suffer serious complications if they are infected, they may spread it to somebody for whom the consequences could be very severe."

There was no evidence to suggest that Scholes, 46, knew anything about the party and he did not appear in any of the photographs from that night.
