Couple Caught Having Sex In Court Three Times Just Before Woman Appeared In Front Of Judge

Couple Caught Having Sex In Court Three Times Just Before Woman Appeared In Front Of Judge

The woman was supposed to appear before a judge due to an unrelated incident

A couple in a courtroom foyer were caught having sex three times, just before the woman had to appear in front of a judge for an unrelated matter.

19-year-old Shameka Julie Leeding from Queensland was due to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on June 28, 2022 and was supported by her partner Jake James Quinn, 20.

However, prior to appearing in front of the judge it seemed like the loved-up couple couldn't resist a quickie – or three – in the meantime.

As the pair were caught on CCTV, police prosecutor Cameron Francis says the couple began to kiss 'vigorously' in the seating in the eastern end of the courthouse public waiting area at about 9.40am.

The footage showed that the youngsters went from first to fourth base real quick.

Leeding was supposedly caught lifting her skirt, sitting on her partner and moving up and down on Quinn’s lap, as reported by The Chronicle.

“The security officer left the area, and Quinn then exposed his penis again and Leeding adjusted his penis under her skirt, she then sat on his lap, facing away and again started moving up and down on his lap, appearing to again engage in sexual intercourse,” Mr. Francis said.

"For a third time the couple were approached, again by security, and Leeding quickly stood up and held her arms out in an attempt to block the view of the security guard while Quinn attempted to cover himself up.”

Solicitor Nathan Bouchier said the couples actions 'weren't planned', and that Quinn simply 'wasn't thinking' of how inappropriate their actions were.

He says that his client is on the look out for full-time employment with two upcoming job interviews after previously completed a construction traineeship.

Leeding's solicitor Ryan McCullough suggested one explanation for the incident was due to an 'exuberance of youth'.

McCullough said the couple’s 'stupid and inappropriate mistake' was a hard learnt lesson in what was appropriate behaviour.

Magistrate Clare Kelly also added she had never heard of something like this happening at a courthouse, while describing the situation as 'outrageous behaviour'.

Kelly told the couple: "In a disrespectful manner you've taken into the public arena a very private act."

The pair both pleaded guilty on Friday (22 July) to the indecent act in any place to which the public are permitted access

They were later sentenced to 60 hours community service each.

No convictions were recorded.
