A man involved in a 22-year age-gap relationship has hit back at the haters who say they couldn't be happy together. Check out their relationship in the video below:
TikToker Alexander Crowley claims his partner is his 'soulmate' and isn't bothered by the age-difference.
Alexander captioned one video: "Despite the advice not to, I'm glad I chose my own path."
He also added: "People didn’t understand our age gap and said it wouldn’t last. A year later and we are still going strong."
Crowley, 25, has been with his 47-year-old girlfriend for over a year and thinks they are happier than ever.
However, the couple have received their fair share of negative comments from social media, with one user writing: "He doesn't even know what he's missing out there. She should feel awful about robbing him of his 20s, just to stroke her ego."
A second adding: "Kid probably doesn't have a mum."
Whilst a third felt 'sick' by the couple's relationship.
Despite the negativity, Alexander seems to be unbothered by the criticism.
Since sharing their journey online, the couple have gone viral and regularly racked up millions of views on their vids.
Many have also issued their support.
One commented: "I love it man, good for you! At 24-years-old I'm hoping to get the same when I grow up hopefully this year or next. Keep loving each other!"
And a second wrote: "Beautiful couple, I cant' want to have a relationship with an older woman."
"That's great," added a third. "As long as you can love each other."
His girlfriend also thinks there's significant perks to being in a relationship with a 25-year-old.
"People keep asking me, ‘What are the perks of dating a younger guy?’" she said in a video on TikTok.
"And I’m like, ‘It’s really nice to be able to run my hands through his hair - not the hair on his back, the hair on his head - he’s got some there, it’s really nice’.
"He stays really active with me - I’m a very active person and he’ll do stuff with me - he’s not winded walking to the car or up the stairs and have to catch his breath."
She added: "He doesn’t even own a Lazy Boy yet, ok? You know, just get up and do stuff with him, it’s really nice.
"He’ll read stuff with me when I can’t see it, he’ll take it and read it - he’s got great eyes.
"It’s nice to have a young guy like that - a young whippersnapper - it keeps you young."
