Creamfields Raver Busted With Almost 200 Pills In Vagina Escapes Prison

Creamfields Raver Busted With Almost 200 Pills In Vagina Escapes Prison

Keira Wilson was caught by sniffer dogs entering Creamfields festival last year

A raver at Creamfields festival who was caught with almost 200 ecstasy pills hidden inside her vagina has escaped prison.

Keira Wilson was stopped by police before she even got onto the site, after sniffer dogs spotted that she was carrying illegal substances on 27 August last year.

When police searched the 25-year-old, they found a 'large pouch' concealed inside her, which contained 192 pills of MDMA, with an estimated value of £1,922, had they been sold at the festival.

Cops also took a mobile phone from her, which contained text messages between Wilson and another person on 25 and 26 August.

The conversations discussed the possibility of getting a ticket for the festival and Wilson taking 'gear' onto the site for a dealer.

Wilson appeared for a hearing at Chester Crown Court this week, where she was sentenced.

Defending, Matthew Hopkins told the court that his client had pleaded guilty at the first opportunity, and posed 'no risk' of reoffending.

He told the court: "The process has been a salutary one for her. She poses a low risk of reoffending and is not going to do this again.

"She has come here from her home in Sunderland and is expecting not to go back.

"She understands the situation and knows she will not get a second chance, but I ask the court to give her a first chance."

Passing down the sentence, recorder Simon Parrington told Wilson that he had little sympathy for her actions, and that she understood the risk when she tried to smuggle drugs into the festival.

He said: "It is quite clear you knew what you were doing, and even if you had not realised what you were doing when you decided to do it, you would have realised when you approached the Creamfields entrance.

"The site is plastered with notices and bins there to dispose of drugs, yet you continued on, and like so many you were caught.

"What you did was utterly stupid, and I hope you have learnt a sharp lesson."

Wilson was sentenced to two years in prison, which was suspended for 18 months.

She was also ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work and pay £468 to cover court costs, as well as the statutory victim surcharge.

This comes after an NHS worker was jailed for three years for smuggling 14 wraps of cocaine into Creamfields music festival.

Courtney Healey, 21, was found with nearly nine grams of the substance in her bag, having brought the drug to the dance festival during her weekend off as a care support worker.
