Festival goers at this year's Creamfields were 'loving' the very welcome addition of a pop up Co-op supermarket. You can see a clip of what it was like inside here:

Yep, those who were in need of some mid-raving refreshments were able to saunter into a Co-op and pick up whatever they fancied with a wide range of items on offer including sandwiches, snacks, fresh fruit and even toiletries for those in need of a quick freshen up.

The rather surreal shopping experience was shared on TikTok by Scott Walker - or @scottwalker1992 - who wrote: "Just a casual Co-op at 11pm at Creams. Loving it!"

Fellow TikTok users were suitably impressed by the clip, with one person writing: "Why can't all Co-ops be like this?"

Another added: "What the actual? Mate, Creamfields have seriously upped their game since I've been."

While a third person wrote: "Such a great idea. Genius in fact."

Someone else said: "OMG best Co-op ever - yeah, let's have them all like this."

I'm not sure how my nana would feel about that, but I can see where you're coming from.

This is the second time the supermarket chain has partnered up with Creamfields - with Co-op saying: "We're putting on our dancing shoes and getting ready for our second year at Creamfields, helping you to dance the night away with all the essentials you need for a great time."

The pop-up store offers a wide range of items, meaning festival attendees can travel light.

As well as essentials such as water and painkillers, there's also baked goods, ice cream and fresh meat to chuck on the barbecue.

Co-op has a deal with Live Nation - meaning its supermarkets also have pop ups at Download Festival, Latitude Festival, Reading & Leeds Festivals, and the Isle of Wight Festival.

Announcing the deal earlier this year, the two companies confirmed the partnership will run until at least 2026. So if attending a festival-based Co-op is now on your bucket list you've got plenty of time to do so.

Co-op director of marketing experience Amanda Jennings told the Retail Gazette: "We are very excited festivals are on again and are thrilled to support and be part of Live Nation's great return to live; we can't wait to get back.

"Our stores have become a regular act at the Live Nation festivals now and we know festival goers have come to rely on us for their essentials and make their festival experience as fantastic as possible."
