Aaron Guerrero and his former girlfriend, Sierra Halseth, killed Sierra's father and filmed themselves laughing about it afterwards.
Aged 18 at the time, Aaron and Sierra, then 16, were convicted of killing her father Daniel Halseth in April 2021.
Mr Halseth, 45, was stabbed 70 times, and the burnt remains of his body were found in the garage of his northwest Las Vegas home on 9 April.

According to Las Vegas Review Journal, court records indicated that the two had been in a relationship between June and December 2020, and had plans to run away to Los Angeles together, leading to their parents not allowing them to see each other.
Three days after Daniel's murder, the couple filmed a video in bed together and talked about 'murdering somebody'.

On April 13, they were arrested in Salt Lake City, Utah, after being caught by transit officers for not having tickets for the light rail. Whilst going through their phones, police found the video, and it ended up being used as evidence in the murder case.
In the clip, Guerrero pretends to choke Halseth, saying that 'it was worth it'.

"Welcome back to our YouTube channel: day three after murdering somebody," Aaron says in the video, as his girlfriend warns: "Whoa, don’t put that on the camera."
Before their discovery, KLAS reported that Guerrero and Halseth were caught on CCTV buying items such as a circular saw, bleach, lighter fluid, and disposable gloves.
In 2022, the pair were sentenced to life in prison after they plead guilty to nine counts in relation to Mr Halseth's death, including murder, arson and robbery.
They were also ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution, Las Vegas Review Journal reports.
In a 2022 interview from High Desert State Prison, Aaron said he was taking LSD at the time of the murder and put the blame on the psychedelic drug.

"I don’t think I would have been capable of something like that had I been sober, because it’s a psychological drug as most people know, and when you have a mental illness it only makes it worse," he told 8NewsNow.
When asked whose idea it was to commit the crime, he said: "Well, I would say it was both of our ideas because we didn’t know exactly what we were going to do, but we knew we had to do something about it and it turned out terribly wrong."

Promising to 'make it up' to the family, Aaron added: "By proving to them that I’m not a monster.
"(And by showing) that I still have potential to be a functioning member of society and can benefit society."

On how the pair reacted in the video, he explained: "We were both trying to cope with what happened and we, I can’t say for Sierra, but personally I feel guilt every day."
Sierra remains behind bars in the Florence McClure Women’s Correctional Center in North Las Vegas.
