Full menu of double killer who ordered huge final meal before death row execution

A double murderer on death row ordered a huge final meal before he’s executed next week.

Stacey Humphreys, 53, is on death row at Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson for the 2003 killings of two real estate agents.

Humphreys was out on parole for a 1993 theft conviction when he attacked 33-year-old Cyndi Williams and 21-year-old Lori Brown at a sales office in Powder Springs, Georgia.

Humphreys ordered the two women to tell him their PINs before fatally shooting them.

He then made off with their driver’s licenses and bank and credit cards and withdrew more than $3,000 from their accounts, according to court filings.

After fleeing the scene the women’s bodies were discovered by a builder running a nearby office and called the cops.

Humphreys was later identified as a suspect in the killings and was arrested five days later in Wisconsin.

At his 2007 trial, Humphreys denied the murders but the jury found him guilty of murder, felony murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping and armed robbery and unanimously recommended the death penalty.

Now, after almost two decades on death row he is scheduled to be executed on 16 September.

Ahead of his execution next week, Humphreys has ordered a final meal of barbecue beef brisket, pork ribs, a bacon double cheeseburger, french fries, buffalo wings and a Meat Lovers pan pizza.

For dessert, he has requested two flavors of ice cream, butter pecan and peach, and two caffeine-free sodas, the the Georgia Department of Corrections said.

A spokesperson for the Georgia Department of Corrections told The Independent: “Last meal requests are honored within reason, and he will receive his request as appropriate.”

Humphreys is set to receive the lethal injection at 7pm on 16 September, however, his legal team filed a motion for a new sentencing trial just weeks ago, which is still pending.

And earlier this month, Humphreys’ lawyer filed a motion claiming one juror had lied to get on the jury.

The lawyer alleged that once the juror had been selected ‘long before the evidence had closed, she made clear that she would consider no option other than a death sentence’.

If the new filing does result in a delay, it wouldn't be the first time.

Humphreys had been scheduled to be executed last year, but it was delayed after his lawyers filed a petition asking a judge to order two members of the State Board of Pardons and Paroles to recuse themselves from hearing his clemency petition.

If next week’s execution goes ahead as planned, he will be the first person put to death in Georgia since 2025.

Not all states allow a final meal to death row inmates

How final meals are handled on death row differs from state to state.

In Georgia, where Humphreys is, final meal requests are granted ‘within reason’.

Over in Florida, there is a $40 limit on what the condemned man can order.

It’s a similar story in Oklahoma where requests must total $25 or less.

Meanwhile, Texas has banned final meal requests altogether.

The decision was said to have been made after Lawrence Russell Brewer ordered such a large meal it was seen as taking advantage and being excessive.

Convicted of a racially motivated murder, he notoriously requested: two chicken fried steaks smothered in gravy with sliced onions; a triple bacon cheeseburger with fixings on the side; a cheese omelette with ground beef, tomatoes, onions, peppers and jalapenos; a large bowl of fried okra with ketchup; one pound of barbecue meat with half a loaf of white bread; three fajitas with all the trimmings; a Meat Lovers pizza; one pint of vanilla ice cream; a slab of peanut butter fudge; and three root beers.

And then when it arrived, Brewer refused to touch any of it.
