YouTuber Danny Aarons, who has collaborated with Yung Filly, has spoken out after the rapper's arrest and charge while on tour in Australia.

Known by his online personality of Yung Filly, Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos was arrested Down Under in the city of Melbourne. Police transported the YouTuber and rapper to the west coast city of Perth after he had been accused of rape by a woman.

It follows a nightclub appearance in the city where Barrientos had performed to crowds, with the 29-year-old now charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent as well as three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm. He has also been charged with another count of impeding a person’s normal breathing or circulation by applying pressure on, or to their neck.

Commenting on the arrest and charge, Twitch streamer AngryGinge gave his thoughts on the situation with Yung Filly's close collaborator, Chunkz, doing the same on Instagram. Barrientos has not indicated a plea at this stage and has been bailed.

Now, another of Yung Filly's collaborators has spoken out on the situation in Australia, saying he was 'as shocked as his viewers'.

Speaking to his viewers on a live stream, YouTuber Danny Aarons gave his initial thoughts on what has unfolded.

He has collaborated with Barrientos as part of the Girth N Turf FC; a Pro Clubs team on EA FC 24 founded by Yung Filly and AngryGinge. It's featured the likes of Wayne Rooney, Aitch, Mark Goldbridge, IShowSpeed, and Luke Littler since launching in early 2024, garnering more than 110,000 followers to its name on X.

"This whole situation, I don't know what I can... what do I do," Aarons told his viewers.

"Lads, I found out the same time as you lot. Probably later because, not going to lie, I overslept."

He added: "I'm as shocked as you lot are. Hand on heart, as shocked as you lot are.

"Look, I'm just going to play FIFA, man. Let's just chill. What do you want me to do mate?"

Aarons reaction was similar to AngryGinge. Real name Morgan Burtwistle, he said: "I'm not going to pretend nothing has happened. I'm going to be open and honest as I always am. Where do you start?

"Four o'clock in the morning I'm laying in bed, I see what's going down on Twitter. First of all I'm the exact same as you. I'm shocked. Um, yeah. You know, mental. Mental.

"But he's now obviously involved in legal proceedings and I can't comment on legal proceedings. You know how it is. Mad."

Barrientos was granted bail after being charged but is banned from leaving the Western Australia state, in which Perth is located. He stumped up $100,000AUD (£51,000) to get himself out of jail ahead of his next court appearance in December.
