The son of former drug lord El Chapo has been arrested following a shootout with authorities in Mexico City.

Ovidio Guzmán was detained today (5 January) in Jesús María for his involvement in the production and sale of fentanyl.

El Chapo's son was arrested today.

As reported by the news outlet La Jornada, several blockades by armed police were caused by the detainment of Guzmán.
