Justice League actor Ezra Miller has been arrested in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and harassment.

The 29-year-old actor, who is known for his role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was taken into police custody on Monday morning, 28 March, after attending a karaoke bar along Silva Street in Hawaii County on Sunday.

Miller is said to have been yelling obscenities and became agitated when people began singing karaoke, at one point grabbing the microphone from a 23-year-old woman while she was mid-song, according to police.

Miller reportedly also lunged at a 32-year-old man playing darts and failed to calm down despite the bar owner asking him several times.

In a news release relating to the arrest, the Hawaii Police Department said South Hilo patrol officers responded to a report of disorderly patron at a bar at 11.30pm on Sunday. Miller, who police initially described as a '29-year-old man visiting from Vermont', was arrested shortly after midnight as a result of his actions.

Miller was charged with both disorderly conduct and harassment, with the first charge relating to them grabbing the microphone from the singing woman and the second relating to them lunging at the man.

Miller had their bail set at $500, which they posted before being released.

Miller has earned acting credits for a number of titles over the years, but is perhaps best known for playing the DC Comics character The Flash in films including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad (2016) and The Arrow TV series.

The actor has also ventured into the Harry Potter franchise with his role as Credence Barebone in the Fantastic Beasts series.

Miller's arrest came as they featured briefly in the Academy Awards on Sunday, when a sequence from Zack Snyder’s Justice League, described as 'The Flash Enters the Speed Force' was voted the most cheer-worthy moment in an online poll ahead of the awards show.

Footage from Miller's scene in the film was featured for the new category during the Oscars.

Miller is next set to appear on the big screen in the upcoming Fantastic Beasts film, The Secrets of Dumbledore. The film, which also stars Jude Law, Eddie Redmayne and Mads Mikkelsen, is set to be released in April.

Their next superhero film, The Flash, has been delayed by Warner Brothers until 2023. Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton are set to star in the flick alongside Miller.
