Family Has Eight Weeks To Raise £100k To Save Little Girl's Life

It feels weird even writing this, but the only thing standing between this little girl and potentially life-saving treatment is money.

Erin Cross, five-years-old, was first diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in 2012, battled hard against it, but sadly relapsed in March of this year.

Now, her family (based in Upton, Cheshire), are faced with the massive task of raising £100k to fly her over to America for surgery. The plea is going well but there's still a way to go.

Her parents, Sarah and Antony, have been told that chemotherapy alone will not be enough to cure Erin. The only hope for her is a bone marrow transplant. However, this can only be performed once she's in remission.

The treatment she needs (Car T Cell therapy) is only available in the States, so she needs to go over and time is also of the essence as the therapy has to be performed within the next eight weeks.

Sarah wrote on Facebook: "I can't lose her....I can't and I won't!!

"I can't bear the thought of not being able to hold her close to me again, or listen to her sweet voice. I love how she cuddles up to me and twirls my hair when I read her a story. I love her energy for life, her compassion, her love and her intelligence. She is also very funny and loves telling jokes and saying funny things. She loves making people laugh.

"I want to see her go back to school and have an absolute blast with her friends. I want to see her grow up and enjoy a normal life like any child should."

She continued: "I'm crying my eyes out.

"She is playing on her iPad completely unaware of the situation we are in. She is protected from all the worry and that's how it will stay. I can't lose my little girl. Please help us to get her the life-saving treatment she needs."
