Social media is full of people flaunting their achievements and the pregnancy, birthing, and newborn realm can be particularly intense.

You might be flooded with a parent's praise of how their child is developing so quickly, or how giving birth was a breeze.

However, Ferne McCann has done the opposite.

She's highlighted how she's 'getting comfortable with being uncomfortable'.

The Only Way Is Essex star has posted pictures onto her Instagram showing her postpartum body.

She gave birth to her and Lorri Haines' daughter in July this year.

Ferne admits baby number two has been a very different experience.

"My body seems to be taking longer to go back to normal (whatever that is supposed to look like!) and in the last couple of days I’ve noticed an impatience with myself," she said in the candid social media post.

"You can either pick yourself apart or you can shower yourself with kindness & love.

"From today, I’m picking the latter! My body created & carried my baby girls so how can I insult it? But in my low moments that’s exactly what I’ve done and I’m sure many women can relate to this.

"So… I’m getting comfortable with the uncomfortable, owning it all!

"This is where I’m at , this is how I look and it’s up to me to start making some healthy changes to my life to start feeling strong physically and mentally and comfortable in my own skin.

"I’m on my mission to get back on track, eat nourishing foods, go for my walks, do some kind of exercise 3 times a week."

She was inundated with support from people in the comments section as they said it was amazing to see a celebrity being 'real'.

One fan wrote: "Love your honesty! It’s time we celebrated real bodies."

Another added: "Our bodies are incredible, be kind to yourself you’ve grown 2 humans ! I relate , 2 humans , 2 C-sections, cancer twice. 55 and a bit achy ! But doing what we can , when we can is all. You’re inspiring darling. Good luck."

A third said: "I’m exactly here. Thank you for sharing."

Ferne gave birth to her first child, Sunday, whom she shares with Arthur Collins.
