Aldi is stocking a range of McDonald's-esque products, including chicken nuggets with sauce and a Big Mac-style 'Big Stack Burger'.

Bargain hunters will be able to get their hands on the Snacksters Big Stack Burger, which features two lean beef burgers, fresh crispy lettuce and creamy, flavoursome cheese served in a sesame seed bun for just £1.49.

For those keeping score, a Big Mac will set you back £3.29.

There's also a box of 12 chicken nuggets served with sweet chilli and BBQ dips for £1.69 - an absolute bargain if you consider that a nine-pack of McNuggets will cost you £3.29.

Or you can get yourself a box of 10 breakfast hash browns for £1.49 - the German supermarket recommends lasing one of the hash browns on one its English Muffins, 39p for a pack of four, and adding an Oakhurst Pork Patty, which are on sale for £1.75 for a six pack, to create your own breakfast muffin.

The trio of items are served in takeaway-style cardboard boxes, with the Big Stack Burger available in stores right now and the nuggets and hash browns landing on 24 May.

Fans of the supermarket are already very keen to give them a try, with one person posting on the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook page: "I want these in my life."

While another shopper wrote: "Oooh can't wait to try these!".

The new items arrive just days after Aldi shoppers praised its own-brand Buttermilk Fish Burgers as the perfect Fillet-o-Fish substitute.

The Buttermilk Fish Burgers have been praised for their likeness to the fast food favourite from Maccies, with one happy customer writing: "Splendid! Crispy, tasty and lots of fish (rather than breadcrumb).

"Stick them in a roll with tartare sauce, a slice of that rubbery cheese that melts and some iceberg lettuce."

Another wrote: "These are the closest tasting burgers to McDonald's Fillet-o-Fish."

While one sensible shopper said: "Great price for a McDonald's equivalent fillet fish burger."

The Catch Co burgers from Aldi are made from 100 percent Alaskan pollock fillet, which is certified sustainably sourced.
