'Tis the season to hibernate and eat a lot of food. Of course, if you've got to go into work right up until Christmas, you can still get in the spirit by enjoying a festive lunch break.

And Greggs has got your back with the latest addition to its Christmas menu: pigs in blankets.

Yes, the best part of Christmas has come early, as selected stores are selling tubs of the meaty side dish for just £2.25.

Or if you're wanting some carbs with your meat, the bakery chain is also selling the Pigs Under Blankets Baguette - basically pigs in blankets in a baguette - for just 75p more than the tub. And just like that, all of our yuletide dreams have come true.

And that's not all, as Greggs also announced the return of the famous Festive Bakes earlier this month, making its customers very, very happy in the process.

The bake contains pieces of chicken breast, sage and onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce. All encased in golden puff pastry with a crunchy crumb topping. Yum.

Other returning items include the Greggs' Christmas Lunch Sandwich and Soup, as well as the Tiffin Bites and Christmas Shortbread Biscuits, which will be available from tomorrow (November 14).

There are, of course, mince pies on offer too for the low, low price of 50p, or £1.75 for a six pack.

That's your lunch for tomorrow sorted.

And if you're still hungry after all that, why not swing by Aldi, where you can get your hands on a whopping two-metre-long pig in blanket.

This beast of a meat feast arrives in stores on December 5, but you'll have to be quick if you want to wrap your chops around one, as it's a Specialbuy product and will only be around for a short amount of time.

Or if you're feeling particularly festive, you could always buy a packet of puff pastry, bring your pigs in blankets home with you and recreate Tesco's epic pigs in duvets creation.

No news yet on whether the supermarket will be bringing back the tasty snack this year round, but hey, as said, you can just make your own.

Granted, it's not the healthiest of dishes. But what is Christmas if you're not stuffing your face with delicious food?
