The moment a 'drunk' guest nearly burned down a wedding venue has gone viral online as he brushed off the near-catastrophic encounter by dad-dancing to 'I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt'.

Take a look below:

The video, which has been shared widely on Twitter and TikTok, sees the unnamed guest bopping to the Right Said Fred tune with sparklers in his hands.

The overzealous gentleman, who is smartly dressed in a black suit, is then spotted grinding on a female party-goer in a denim jacket, much to the fellow guests delight and cheers.

And while he tries to light up the dance floor with his moves, he instead accidentally sets a pampas grass centrepiece aflame in front of the wooden barn while onlookers are left frantically telling him to put the blaze out.

A guest's overzealous dance moves almost caused a wedding venue to go up in flames.

In the clip, concerned guests can be heard shouting: "Ah, fire! Fire!" while the unaware party-goer calmly continued boogying.

As revellers rush to find something to put the flames out, the man takes it upon himself to right his wrongs and fearlessly waves his arm over the blaze, knocking the burning centrepiece to the ground.

Miraculously it does the trick, and he continues to put the flames out by stamping on top of it before hilariously resuming his groove without missing a beat or a hip thrust.

Unimpressed with his trail of destruction, a woman in a hat snaps at the rowdy reveller, instructing him to 'settle down', bringing his spirited moves to a sobering stop – but something tells us he was back up on that dance floor again.

Although the gentleman has yet to be identified, he has proven to be a big hit online with many branding him a 'hero' and praising his nonchalant reaction after the clip was viewed more than 11 million times on Twitter alone.

One wrote on Twitter: "This how drunk I’m tryna be at my wedding" (sic).

The gentleman tried to put the fire out with his arm.

"LMMFAOOOOO!!! They not gon’ congratulate him putting the fire out?? Ungrateful" a second joked.

Another commented: "Also a person I admire this week: #Dancing #drunk #wedding guy, because although he had too much to drink and almost made the 10:00 o’clock news, he’s celebrating life."

"Awareness level: 0, drunkenness level: 98, fireproof superpowers: 100," a fourth quipped.

"If 'let's keep it going' was a person," another wrote under the now-viral video. "He lit!" another posted.
