Jeremy Clarkson is set to become a grandfather after his daughter Emily announced that she is pregnant.
The 28-year-old Emily Clarkson broke the good news on her Instagram account by sharing a video of herself and her husband emblazoned with the caption ‘we’re having a baby’.
In the short video, Emily and husband Alex Andrew can be seen smiling in black and white, whilst both holding their hands against Emily’s front.
On the post, she added: "We’re so delighted to share that we’re expecting a baby girl in early 2023."
Emily is one of three children that Jeremy shares with his ex-wife Frances Cain, two daughters and a son, with Emily the eldest.
Emily and Alex got married in May, sharing photographs of their wedding day in the countryside on Instagram afterwards.
The heir to the Clarkson estate works as an author and podcaster, describing herself on her Instagram biography as a ‘professional oversharer’.
The couple’s dog even made the cut for the video, with one heart-warming moment showing the pooch interacting with Emily’s bump.
Friends and well-wishers have been queuing up to wish the couple luck and congratulate them, with one writing: “Omg omg omg this is INCREDIBLE news – so happy for you guys. CONGRATULATIONS!”
Harry Styles’ sister Gemma commented: “Oh massive congrats!”
When the pair got married earlier this year, Jeremy paid a special tribute to his daughter’s husband, writing: “Fathers. I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful it is when your daughter gets married to someone you like.
“I am being very unmanly about this weekend.
“It was just sublime.
“I have never been happier.”
Well, he might just be a bit happier now, eh?
