Woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann announces plans after getting DNA results

Woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann announces plans after getting DNA results

Madeleine McCann has been missing since she disappeared from her parents' villa in Portugal in 2007

Over the last few days, the world has been following the story of Julia Wendell, who claimed that she was Madeleine McCann.

The British girl disappeared from her parents' apartment during a holiday to Portugal in 2007, and has not been seen since. However, Wendell, who also goes by the name Julia Faustyna and Julia Wandelt, claimed recently on social media that she was the missing girl:

And during an appearance on Dr Phil, she confirmed that she was waiting on a set of DNA results to settle the debate once and for all.

Despite the bold claims, Wendell's mum and dad back in Poland maintained that she was definitely their child and not McCann.

And it turned out that they were right.

Wendell's representative and psychic medium, Dr. Fia Johansson, told Radar Online: "She is absolutely 100 percent from Poland.

"She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian, but the test results show she is Polish," - meaning Wendell is not McCann.

"We learned a few things, one being that Julia’s mum is in fact now believed to be her mum, so she is not Madeleine McCann.

"They’re not 100 percent but they believe that Julia’s mum is in fact her mum. They’re questioning her father’s side."

Following the shocking revelations, Dr Johansson has now explained what Wendell plans on doing next.

Speaking about the results, the psychic said Wendell really did believe she was McCann.

"This story is much more complicated than a simple girl from a small town in Poland making a claim to get attention," she wrote.

"She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions about her childhood it is easy to understand where she was coming from."

Dr Johansson went on: "What is amazing is Julia's parent's refusal to resolve this nagging question for Julia. A simple DNA test by parents would have resolved many questions for Julia.

"In any case, upon revelation, she decided to be back with her dad.

"I personally wish her well."

Dr Johansson had previously revealed that Wendell had suffered a fractured skull when she wast just eight years old, which caused her to fall into a 'near-comatose' state in hospital.

She was then unable to speak or walk for more than a year following the injury.

Wendell also previously claimed to have been subject to sexual assault as a child, with Dr Johansson alleging that she was forced to take '35 pills from the age of seven'.

The medium said at the time that she believed the man who allegedly sexually abused Wendell was linked to the McCann case, saying: "Julia had all the birthmarks as Madeleine McCann which I believe is God and the universe’s way of wanting us to get close to the man who sexually abused her, expose him, and his possible ties to the McCann case."
