Melbourne will hold a Chicken Nugget Festival next month full of crispy goodness guaranteed to make your mouth drool.

Be prepared to indulge in every kind of nugget you thought possible, as the legendary Chicken Nugget Festival will be returning on June 11 at Thornbury.

As we head into the winter season, this golden nugget of a festival couldn’t come at a better time, as Melburnians will be offered an assortment of the beloved staple food.

Chicken nugget burgers, nugget-stuffed hoagies, cheesy nuggs and possibly even a few nuggets on a stick will also be available at the event.

Not to mention an array of dipping sauces to dunk your chicky nuggs with.

The festival will also be bringing heaps of different stalls, including Hot Star Melbourne, Roadrunner Fried Chicken, Miss Katie’s Chicken Shack, The Real Jerk Food Truck, Gorilla Grill and Mr Burger, plus dipping platters from Melbourne Hot Sauce.

They’ll even be a dessert nugget, yes that’s right, from Dip’d Gourmet Mini Donuts on the day.

However, if you’re left feeling quite parched devouring all the different little treats, not to worry, as a delicious selection of non-alcoholic beverages, beers, and cocktails will also be served.

And best of all, the event is free!

Year after year, the event has attracted thousands of people, hailing from all parts of Melbourne to try all of the different variations of delectable nuggets.

In 2017, the festival was recorded to draw over 10,000 people, with a whopping 50,000 nuggets being sold, according to hit.com.au.

No confirmation yet if the festival’s famous ‘Nugs Not Drugs’ shirts will be available at the event, but we have a sneaky suspicion some cool merchandise will be up for grabs for you to remember the special day.

The event usually kicks off around midday, with children and dogs welcome too.

Make sure you don’t miss out on this year’s festival to snack on a humble nug or 10.
