Australian Electoral Commission Kindly Asks Aussies Not To Draw D**ks On Their Ballot Paper

The AEC has asked voters to think of the poor nannas who could potentially be counting the penis covered paper.

The Australian Electoral Commission has kindly asked voters to refrain from drawing any d**ks on their ballot.

However, they did make note that it wasn’t actually illegal if you wanted to go ahead and pump out some fine artwork across the paper.

But, please don’t.

The question was raised after a Twitter user questioned whether votes were invalid if anything other than the necessary numbers was written on the ballot paper.

The AEC tweeted: “Our ruling on [eggplant emoji] and other drawings: yes you can do it, but your nanna might be the poll worker counting your vote. Think of nanna.

“Writing that identifies yourself would make your ballot paper informal.”

So essentially, as long as don’t draw a super accurate recreation of your own member that could potentially identify yourself, you should be all good.

But also, please think of the poor workers who will have to look at the penis covered paper.

One Twitter user made sure to clarify the ruling on d**k drawings.

They tweeted: “So provided you numbered the boxes legibly and the said drawings do not obscure the boxes AND your nan is not a counter it’s all fair game?”

To which, the AEC replied: “Well then you're showing your little drawing to somebody else's nanna, which is arguably worse.”

The AEC has had to field various out-there ballot questions in the past.

One Twitter user asked: “AEC, how do you source all your pencils for the election? And what brand pencils are they?”

AEC, who really seem to be on top of their Twitter game, replied: “We harvest our pencils from democracy trees, from which they flower and every time a writ is issued for a Federal Election.”

Another voter asked: “Can you please confirm if you will be allowed to bring a crayon to vote for the first time ever?”

AEC replied: “Yep - while we of course will supply pencils, voters can bring their own pencil, pen or even crayon to vote.”

Admittedly, some people have made a living out of drawing dicks, like Aussie bloke Brendan Pearce, whose Instagram is filled with incredible, whacky and strange depictions of dicks in all shapes and sizes.

However, when it comes to the ballot paper, it’s been done thousands of times before, it’s not funny or original.

Don’t let the d**ks get in the way of democracy, and again just don’t do it guys.
