Jetstar has launched a massive sale for Aussies looking to finally vacation outside of the country.

People wanting to get out and about will be able to fly to Bali for as little as $99 one way, with those in Perth getting the cheapest deal to Denpasar.

But that's if and when the state government allows people to leave.

Aussies on the east coast will have to fork out at least $159 one way to get to the Indonesian hotspot.

The cheap fares will only apply for certain periods of the year, which start in mid-January until late March, then April to late June and then finally mid-July to mid-September.

These dates will also vary depending on which city you're flying out of.

Jetstar's five-day 2022 International Sale is also flogging cheap flights to Thailand, Fiji, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and New Zealand.

You'll be able to fly from the Gold Coast to Tokyo for just $264 one way in May, or you could head across the Tasman to Queenstown for $180, or Sydney to Phuket for $194.

It comes as the federal government finally removes the final hurdle to you packing those bags, dusting off that passport and heading overseas for the first time since the pandemic began.

If you wanted to leave Australia during the pandemic, you had to get an exemption from the government, which was pretty tricky to get and would only be administered for a specific reason (note: 'I want to get drunk in Europe' wasn't on the list).

But Scott Morrison has confirmed Aussies will no longer be required to ask the government to leave the country.

Speaking on Sunrise, the Prime Minister said: "I can announce today that last night the Health Minister signed off on the fact that from the 1st of November, Australians who are double vaccinated will be able to travel overseas.

"Over half a million Australians have already been able to download the international vaccination certificate. We are getting very close now to a reciprocal arrangement with Singapore."
