Big W Has Started Selling Nike Shoes For As Little As $40

Better get in quick before they're all gone

Buying a fresh pair of kicks is a feeling like no other, but more often than not, it's also a sting to your wallet.

The shoe industry has exploded over the past decade or two and people are willing to pay thousands of dollars to get their hands (or feet, at least) on the latest sneakers or boots.

Well, if you don't have loads of spare cash in your bank account but are desperately in need of a pair of shoes then you can always nip into Big W.

I know what you're thinking: 'Yeah, thanks, I'm good,' but you can actually get Nike shoes for as little as $40 from the stores now.

Shoppers have been shocked to be perusing the aisles in their local Big W and discovering a bunch of new Nikes being sold for double digits. It's enough to make anyone do a double take, but they are legitimately being flogged for a fraction of the normal cost.

One person uploaded a photo to a dedicated Facebook page to prove the big sale was indeed going ahead.

They're also being sold online if you don't want to venture outside (we totally don't blame you) and you can get three different types of shoes.

You better get in quick because the $40 pairs are a part of a clearance sale and you know they won't stick around forever.

When you're buying running shoes, you can sometimes pay more than $200 to get the right style, colour and support. Considering Nike is a global brand that builds itself on a good exercise aesthetic, forking out a couple of lobsters for these shoes is hardly a stretch.

You can get a larger range of styles and colours if you head into a store, but, again, don't expect there to be many left after people find out that they're an absolute steal.
