British Tourist Reveals Plans To Travel To The 'World's Most Dangerous Island'

Miles Routledge is crafting a reputation as a ‘danger tourist’ after travelling to Afghanistan and having tea with the Taliban.

A British bloke who travels to some of the riskiest places has devised a plan to travel to the world’s most dangerous island.

Miles Routledge, who goes by Lord Miles Routledge Adventures on Twitter, is crafting a reputation as a ‘danger tourist’.

He's travelled to Afghanistan amid the Taliban takeover, Ukraine during the Russian invasion, and Kazakhstan during riots.

It seems he may be onto his next outrageous idea: he wants to travel to North Sentinel Island, which is inhabited by an 'uncontacted' tribe.

The island sits in the Bay of Bengal, an Indian archipelago, with its people often defending their island through forceful means from the outside world.

British explorers found themselves wrecked on a reef near the island in 1867, with the 106 passengers having to fend off attacks by the native people before being rescued by the Royal Navy.

In more recent times, two fishermen were killed by the Sentinelese in 2006 and American Christian missionary, John Allen Chau, was also killed in 2018.

They remain one of the last ‘uncontacted’ groups in the world and Miles has come up with a plan to document the group without putting his safety at risk.

>Buy 2 small boats and go to north sentinel island
>one crew sets off fireworks to distract the primitives
>one crew in decontaminated suits sets up starlink, cameras and a solar panel all hidden
>twitch of uncontacted tribes, $$$ and help science

Tell me why this wouldn’t work

His mission involves getting two small boats to visit the island, with one crew setting off fireworks to distract the tribespeople, while the other crew, who would be dressed in decontaminated suits, sets up Starlink, cameras, and a hidden solar panel.

He claims this would allow for a Twitch stream to be set up and monitor the mostly undocumented tribe. He says this will help science and making some money along the way.

He tweeted: “Or like, go with a drone disguised as a big bird, film content, boom exclusive footage of non contacted tribe that’s near priceless.”

Seems a bit extravagant, however, for Routledge it wouldn’t be the most outlandish outcome of a dangerous trip.

While in Afghanistan he claimed to have had tea with the Taliban.

He tweeted late last month a selfie with the supposed members of the Taliban: “TEA WITH THE TALIBAN! I'm in Afghanistan, walked into Taliban residency by accident and after talking they gave me food, tea and even offered for me to stay the night. They are so kind!”

It appears they may not have been so kind after all, however, with Routledge later taking to Twitter, saying he had food poisoning.

On April 30, he tweeted: “I think I have food poisoning. I am throwing up a lot, very cold and very weak.”

In reference to his Sentinel Island idea, he later claimed that he wasn’t being completely serious.

He tweeted: “I mentioned this before but I’ve had a lot of new followers then, it’s always good to get further perspective on s**tposts that may turn into something real one day.”

With his recent exploits, you can’t really blame his followers for not fully grasping when Lord Miles is joking or when he’s being dead serious.
