A man has invented a specialised fish tank that allows him to to take his beloved goldfish out for a walk.

Let us introduce you to this fin-tastic invention: a pram built especially for your underwater pals.

The custom stroller comes complete with a battery-powered filtration system, an air pump for oxygen, and even a slick lighting system.

There are so many useful inventions out there as well as a few plain silly ones (like the Burrito Bumper), but this one is really making waves online.

Taiwanese-based YouTuber Huang 'Jerry' Xiaojie has unveiled his latest creation by pushing the pram at the park, at the night markets, and in the business district of his neighbourhood in Taipei.

In the video, he takes viewers through how he built the device with a handy step-by-step guide.

As the video is not in English and there are no subtitles, we can't explain the process exactly - but the video guide of the Aquarium Adventurer (we're calling it that) really does speak for itself.

Essentially, the DIY expert can be seen welding a metal chassis to a sealed acrylic tube.

Then he pops it on wheels, chucks a handle on for pushing and voila - you have yourself a mobile fish tank.

The thing really does work too, because Xiaojie can be seen putting his own fish into the tank to give it a road test (literally).

In the video, passers-by were seen doing double takes as the DIY genius strolls on by, with plenty pointing or stopping for photos.

Xiaojie even stops for a bubble tea which, of course, slots in nicely to the cup holder he installed.

Functionality is everything, after all.

The adventuring aquarium was declared a success once they all returned home safe and sound.

The slightly-wacky invention solves a problem we're pretty sure no one had, but Xiaojie was praised for his cool build.

One user commented: "If this design is improved, there will really be a market demand. If you also get a feeding hole, it is a complete action aquarium."

A second said: "As a fisherman, I think it's awesome!!! I can see others walking dogs, cats and rabbits outside, but I can't walk the fish."

A third added: "I saw a photo of Xiaojie walking a fish on the road a few days ago, and I have been looking forward to seeing this episode."

So, now you officially have no excuse to take your puppy for a walk without your guppy.
