If you've been looking for a way to spruce up your emoji game then October looks like it will be your month.

Emojipedia - the group that decides what little icon will be brought forth to our devices - has revealed the new consortium of emojis we can expect in the next few weeks.

The latest Apple iOS update will bring some absolute doozies and there are ones you might have never expected.

The absolute top of the list is what many have dubbed the Italian Hand emoji, however Emojipedia has officially labelled it the Pinched Hand.

You'll be able to give off that passive aggressive vibe every time and anytime you feel.

Don't believe the current emojis reflect the current social attitudes towards gender neutral weddings? Well, a change is on the horizon. We'll be getting women in tuxedos and blokes in wedding dresses in the new update as well as a gender-inclusive Santa Claus.

If you want to make your mate know how you really feel about them, you will soon be able to send them cockroaches left, right and centre.

Aussies will rejoice in being able to send the humble thong or flip-flop emoji as well as the boomerang. We'll receive a set of baby bottle feeding signs, a disguised face, a sink plunger - in case you need to tell your landlord that you've a blocked drain - and a 'happy crying' emoji: for when you want to signal to your friends that YOU'RE TOTALLY OKAY AND NOT DYING ON THE INSIDE.

There's also a transgender symbol, a ninja, some bubble tea, a boomerang, a piñata, a temple, a dodo - seriously, where is the need for that? - and an anatomically correct (well, sort of) heart.

As well as the new gender-inclusive emoji variants, there will also be new skin tones added for several of the existing emojis. That's a good thing, at least.

Overall, Apple will be introducing 100 new additions to the already bulging emoji family, and they'll be available to users who update their phone regularly at some point during October.

The new set of colourful characters will be available not only on the iPhone and iPad, but also on watchOS, for the emoji-lover on the go.

They've also been sighted in the latest developer releaser of macOS Big Sur, meaning that Apple laptop users will have this significant 'advantage' as well.

The Unicode Consortium announced last week that Emoji version 13.1, which will include a whole host more emojis, will be available in the not-so-distant future.
