It's long sparked one of the most divisive arguments when it comes to food, but new data has revealed pineapple and olives are actually among Australia's top choices when it comes to additional pizza toppings.
It should come as no surprise that cheese took out the number one spot for extra topping, with one in three customers (38 per cent) opting to add extra cheese to their already queso-laden pizzas in 2020, according to Menulog
However, it is surprising to see pineapple and olives come in at number two and three, given the heated opinions surrounding the fruits.

The research by Menulog comes ahead of World Pizza Day on February 9, which basically means it's the one day of the year where you don't have to feel guilty about demolishing your own body weight in pizza.
Another interesting point of difference compared to previous years is the news that customers are now opting for a cheese topping they can feel gouda-bout, with requests to add vegan cheese to pizza orders increasing by 50 per cent in 2020 compared to the previous year.
Customers from New South Wales lead the trend of shunning dairy, making up 50 per cent of those who order plant-based substitutes, while Victoria came in at 30 per cent, followed by South Australia at 12 per cent.
