A Sydney shop has gone viral around the world for slagging off the Australian Prime Minister.

It's fair to say Scott Morrison has had a tough few months as he tries to work with the states and territories (who have subtly lashed out against him) to rollout the coronavirus vaccine.

However, the latest round of lockdown restrictions in New South Wales have meant scores of businesses have been forced to close their doors until the outbreak is contained.

The Roulette store and art studio in Annandale in Sydney's inner-west has been one of those who have to sit tight for at least the next two weeks.

The owner posted a message on the shopfront to alert customers they wouldn't be able to be served for the time being.

"Dear Customers, we will be closed for the foreseeable future because Scott Morrison is a useless d***head who only ordered enough vaccine to vaccinate 4 per cent of the population 18 months into a pandemic," it said.

The sign was erected by artist James Powditch on Saturday (June 26) after the New South Wales Premier announced lockdown would be extended by a week.

Even though it was Gladys Berejiklian who made the decision to lock down Greater Sydney, Mr Powditch turned his anger to the country's leader for not being more on the ball to ensure the country is vaccinated.

His sign became so viral that it even attracted headlines from the likes of CNN.

The artist told the American news network: "We can't leave the country, people can't come in, and we end up periodically in lockdowns, which cost a friggin' fortune.

"People have been accepting that this is a diabolically difficult situation, but once we start watching the rest of the world open up, we're going to turn to anger over the way things like vaccines have been rolled out here."

Ms Berejiklian had a little dig at the Prime Minister earlier today (June 29) when speaking about the need to get at least 75 to 80 per cent of the population vaccinated before having conversations about returning to pre-pandemic life.

She added: "We have surpassed two million jabs. I have been outspoken in relation to what New South Wales thinks needs to happen to expedite the vaccine rollout and make sure when the extra doses arrive later in the year, that everybody who wants the jab has access to it.

"We don't control the supply and we don't control a number of things related to the rollout."

Read between the lines there.
